Few weeks back, Ann lao yi had booked a one day JB Tour and the highlight of the trip will be the eat-all-you-can durian.... early in the morning, we took the 1st train from Pioneer station to Tiong Bahru to gather and wait for the coach to come and fetch us... I was very excited as we have 13 of us going together...
After exiting the Malaysia custom, our first stop is for breakfast... we had dim sum at a teahouse...
After that, we stopped by a tibits shop, a noodle making factory before having our lunch at one restaurant... we were being served with 5 - 6 simple dishes...
After our lunch, we went to a brown rice factory and shopped for tibits made from brown rice... then we went to a Thai temple...
After praying at the temple... we had a fun time of rambutan plucking just outside the temple... there were many rambutan trees planted outside the temple and Ah gu and Grand uncle Andy tried to pluck some rambutans for all of us...
See, they even tried to lift Dilys yiyi up to the tree to pluck the rambutans... seems desperate but its all for the fun of it... hahaa...
For me, I do not have to do anything but watch the "show" of the rambutan plucking and I got to enjoy my 1st taste of rambutans... Daddy and Mummy do not really like rambutans so I did not eat any before... I like the sweetness and enjoyed the fruit...
Next is the highlight of the trip... our durian eating session... we alighted from the coach and walked down a pave in the durian plantation to the resting area and begin our "war"... Granduncle Andy, Daddy and Ah gu went to bring the opened durians to our table and we began eating the durians... the only thing we have to be aware is the flies flying around... we had to eat very fast before the flies land on the durian flesh... think this is the most durians I had eaten in our lives... but Daddy and Mummy do not allow me to eat too much as its too heaty and make sure that I drink lots of water after that... last but not least, we had dinner before returning back to Singapore!!
